HISTORY OF ABU DHABI FLOUR MILL CO. (ADFM)
he founder, HyderAboobacker, an enthusiastic, energetic, and hardworking person who came to United Arab Emirates on 13th January 1968 had travelled by a country boat from Kerala to Bombay with a dream of reaching into the Gulf region to seek the livelihood for his family and himself. He landed in Khorfukan beach. He lived in United Arab Emirates by doing small types of work. He began the business of flours in early 1973, but he attained a flour mill trade license from Abu Dhabi Municipality only in the year 1976. Therefore, the heritage of Abu Dhabi Flour Mill is dated back to the year 1976.
But, in the year 2004, Mr. Ali Sahib, and Mr. SideequeMohamed under the leadership of Dr. K.V. Thaha are joined to the company as its official partners. When these enthusiastic personalities have shown their interest to the business stream of Abu Dhabi Flour Mill, then this flour mill industry has started to flourish. The new management has opened a branch in the commercial city of Muasaffah.
The products made by ADFM has been a staple in Abu Dhabi expatriate homes for about five decades. ADFM’s commitment and passion for quality products and service has stood them in good stead for many years, and today, we have a presence in the main two regions of Abu Dhabi City and Mussaffah. Abu Dhabi Flour Mills Co. LLC (ADFM) is a major flour milling company in the United Arab Emirates and it was initially started in the year 1976. The entry of the ADFM into the flour milling industry in UAE redefined industry standards as its high quality compelled an improvement in the quality of flour products by other players. Over the last 47 years, ADFM has positioned itself as a market leader in milling, processing & packaging of flours, foodstuff items, and other flour-based products.
We dedicate ourselves to humanity’s quest for longer, healthier, happier lives through the innovation and modernization of our Herbal plant trading.
Our facility and the permission of Abu Dhabi Municipal authority to import goods from other countries facilitates us to bring a variety of healthy food products such as rice, Dals, wheat, oils, vinegar, chilies, tomato products, teas, coffees, and a vast variety of different spices, flours, and pasta, etc… from different countries, especially from the Indian subcontinent.
Our grocery stores contain a vast variety of rare items, allowed by the Abu Dhabi Municipality to import from Indian subcontinent such as different types of Pooja items, the herbal & other goods to be used for pregnant ladies and newborn babies, etc. etc
